About Friends Of Kings Park

The Friends of Kings Park was established in 2006 by a group of residents who were interested in developing the park as a valuable resource.

The group's purpose is to support and further Kings Park as a centre for environmental education, events, recreation and to protect the environmental amenity of the park and its precincts.

The group is fully supported by the manager and staff of the park, who are honorary members of the group. They provide the group with advice, support and professional expertise.

Everyone using the park is welcome to join us and assist in making the park a better resource for everyone.

A list of current and past events can be found on our events page.

Calling for new members

Friends of Kings Park is always on the look out for new volunteers who could contribute their valuable time to making Kings Park a valuable resource for the local community. In addition to regular meetings about park issues, we are also actively involved in other activities such as fund raising, organizing activities for the children in local schools, through to keep-fit events for both adults and children such as our highly successful Summer Cycling sessions held annually in the park.

Our members come from all walks of life and offer their expertise in making Friends Of Kings Park a success. We also look forward to hearing more from younger members in the community who want to make a difference in improving Kings Park and to offer valuable advice and insight into organizing activities for their peers.

To find out more about joining us, please send us an email through our contact page. There is no pre requisite for membership. We really look forward to hearing more from you soon.
